Marta Sappé Griot

European Representative on the WSCF Executive Committee

My name is Marta Sappé Griot, I am 26 years old, and I have been recently elected as an Executive Committee Member by the European Regional Assembly. I was born and raised in Italy, where I graduated in Law at the University of Turin, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Law in Münster (Germany). My denomination is Waldensian (reformed protestant), and, thanks to the Student Christian Movement (SCM) Italy, I was able to attend my first WSCF-E Conference and Regional Assembly in 2013, in Austria. In the summer of 2016, I attended the “US/Mexico Border Solidarity Program” organized by the WSCF-NA, a life-changing experience, which brought me in touch with the North American Region. In the summer of 2019, I was part of the Preparation Committee for the “International Theological Camp” in Agape (Prali, Italy), where I had the chance to meet people from WSCF-Latin America and Caribbean, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. I already feel very much connected to people from other Regions, and I am looking forward to working both with the new European Regional Committee and, if the 2020 General Assembly will grant me this role, on an inter-regional level. Feel free to email me, I will be happy to get in touch with you!”
