We opened the Call for Applications for the Advisory Board of WSCF Europe
We are looking for five new Advisory Board members to support our European Regional Committee in decision-making and the running of WSCF-Europe.
The Advisory Board is a support mechanism established at the European Regional Assembly in 2019. Unlike our European Regional Committee, the Board has no legal responsibilities – it is formed to give advice and recommendations to the WSCF-Europe Committee and staff.
- Have you been in touch with WSCF or WSCF-Europe before (no matter when)?
- Are you a senior friend or a member of an SCM?
- Are you willing to dedicate some time to the wellbeing of the Federation?
- Are you looking for ways to support the current leadership team?
- Do you have a passion for international and ecumenical work?
The work of the Advisory Board will be diverse, but tasks are likely to include:
- helping with communications and visual identity;
- establishing connections and regularly engaging with the Friends of WSCF-Europe;
- supporting to oversee the procedure that will lead to closing the legal entity in Hungary;
- supporting the thematic working groups;
- supporting fundraising efforts;
- supporting with specific expertise to increase our accessibility as an organization, for instance providing input on disability, diversity and inclusion.
We are currently aiming to form our first Advisory Board and have 5 vacancies available. These would ideally be elected for a period of 4 years, but we will also consider if someone can commit for shorter periods of time.
The Board is formed of young people and professionals who have had some engagement with WSCF-Europe in the past and who have specific skills and knowledge that complement those of the WSCF European Regional Committee and staff. This is a volunteer position.
To apply, please fill-in this application form by 29th of February 2024.
