We are excited to announce the upcoming training session, “Youth in Leadership Today: The Pathway Forward,” which will be held from March 3-7, 2025, at the European Youth Centre in Budapest. This event aims to equip young leaders with the tools they need to drive meaningful change in their communities, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, equity, social justice, and ecumenism.

We are seeking four enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Preparation Team. As a member of the prep team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the event and ensuring its smooth execution.

Objectives of the Training:

The core aim of this training is to empower students and young leaders, particularly those involved in our member movements, by fostering their leadership capabilities. The program is designed to:

  • Support social justice initiatives by equipping movements with effective student mobilisation strategies, ensuring relevance, sustainability, and a stronger network within the Ecumenical Movement.
  • Enhance leadership skills with a focus on approaches that promote inclusivity, equity, and social justice within the European Student Christian Movements (SCMs).
  • Improve communication skills of youth leaders to broaden the reach and impact of SCMs in their local and regional communities.

Role of the Prep Team:

As a prep team member, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development and design of the session content.
  • Supporting logistical planning and coordination before and during the event.
  • Ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborating with facilitators to ensure the objectives are met effectively.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are passionate about youth leadership, inclusivity, and social justice.
  • Have experience in event planning, youth work, or leadership development (preferred, but not required).
  • Are team players with good organisational and communication skills.
  • Are available for online prep meetings and a potential in-person meeting in the months leading up to the event.
