“What is the ERA?”

August 15th, 2013 2:49 pm

Hello and welcome to the first instalment of a series of blogs leading up to the ERA!

I hear you ask “What is the ERA?”

Well, the European Regional Assembly (ERA) is the highest decision making body of WSCF – Europe and is a meeting of all Student Christian Movements (SCMs) across Europe. It is a meeting which happens every two years where member movements make decisions about the work of WSCF-E for the next two years.

We are governed and managed by representatives from our member movements. We encourage you to attend the ERA and be one of these representatives!

Not only can you represent your member movement, but you can also stand for a position on the European Regional Committee (ERC). Check out what positions will be free at the next ERA.

The 2013 ERA will take place on 12 – 13th October in St. Gilgen, Austria following the solidarity conference.  If you would like any more information feel free to email the current Chair of the committee  or Hans Hommens, the Regional Secretary.
Check back on the website soon for more details about the ERA and blog posts including SCM news, WSCF-E thematic areas (gender, solidarity, theology and culture&higher education) …and much much more!
