Invisible Slavery: Human Trafficking In Europe
Around twenty participants from all around Europe gathered in St.Gilgen, Austria from 6 to 12 October 2013 to discuss the sensitive topic of human trafficking in Europe.
In warm and inclusive atmosphere a lot of deep debates and enriching encounters took place. We got introduced to the topic and learned about its connection to gender issues, studied Bible passages connected to human trafficking, created awareness-raising movies and a prayer for victims of human trafficking, learned new meditation techniques and share a time and space with new friends. Participants deepened their knowledge in the topic, for many of them the conference was an eye-opening experience. They especially appreciated meeting experts working in the field.
Another important aspect of the conference was its ecumenicity. Participants had an opportunity to learn a lot about spirituality of the others and share prayers with people of many various denominations. It was a great week spent by getting to know one of the biggest problems of Europe nowadays, sharing experiences and a lot of debates with new friends! To see more pictures click here.
