Call for Applications: Advisory Board Members
We are looking for an Advisory Board!
We have opened applications for Advisory Board members, whose role will be to support our European Regional Committee in decision-making and the running of WSCF-Europe. The Advisory Board is a support mechanism established at our last European Regional Assembly, in 2019, in Denmark. Unlike our European Regional Committee, the Board has no legal responsibilities – it is formed to give advice and recommendations to the WSCF-Europe Committee and staff.
The Board is formed of young people and professionals who have had some engagement with WSCF-Europe in the past and who have specific skills and knowledge, that complement those of the WSCF European Regional Committee and staff.
We are currently aiming to form our first Advisory Board and have 5 vacancies available. These would ideally be elected for a period of 4 years, but we will also consider if someone can commit for shorter periods of time.
The work of the Advisory Board will be diverse, but tasks are likely to include:
- helping with the redesign of the WSCF-Europe website and visual identity;
- establishing connections and regularly engaging with the Friends of WSCF-Europe;
- supporting to close the legal entity in Hungary;
- supporting the thematic working groups;
- supporting fundraising efforts.
We are looking for your application, if you:
- have been in touch with WSCF or WSCF-Europe before (no matter when), if you are a senior friend or a member of an SCM;
- are willing to dedicate some time to the wellbeing of the Federation;
- are looking for ways to support the current leadership team; and
- have passion for international and ecumenical work.
The Advisory Board Member position is a voluntary role and our team will work with the successful candidates to agree their weekly/monthly availability for volunteering hours.
To apply, please fill-in this application form by 30th November.
If you have any questions about the role or the application, please contact us at communications@wscf-europe.org.
