Capacity Building Coordinator

Armine BabajanyanArmine Babajanyan (Armenia)

Hi there! My name is Armine. I come from Armenian Apostolic Church. I am married and have two kids: baby girl Beatrice and baby boy Areg. I have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Financial Controlling. Also I have a Master’s degree in Conflict resolution, as later I decided to change my path.

I became interested in ecumenism in 2010, when I participated in World Council of Churches General Assembly as a Steward. Later on I participated in several WSCF events. One of the most significant event I participated in was a joint study session between WSCF-E and EYCE titled “Gender: Revised!?”. I was in the preparatory committee (prepcom) for this event. There I have learned a lot about the diversity of ecumenical community and the importance of keeping this diversity in one whole.

For me personally, WSCF is a network, where people from various denominations can share their ideas and thoughts openly. As a newly elected Capacity Building Coordinator, I aim to strengthen this network, through refreshing the existing possibilities and creating new platforms for ecumenical youth.
